Find of the Week
Hey everybody. This is Alex and I’m really happy to be here at Tilt. I think it’s a great opportunity for me to exercise some more of my creative brain power. I’m bringing to Tilt some perspective from my scientific background which should help round out this art based group. It probably also doesn’t hurt to have an extra Y-chromosome in the office for heavy moving and starting fires.
Anyway, I recently came across a Wired article on Shai Agassi and Better Place, which is company trying to revolutionize the automobile industry. Their vision is based around a network of electric cars where you can charge up at home or at work or have your battery replaced if it’s running low and you don’t have time to charge. By creating a network for charging, the problem of limited range with electric cars is eliminated. Pilot networks are already starting in Israel and in Denmark with a budget of over 200 million and car design provided by Renault.
