Courtesy of Matt, we are lucky to be able to share this fantastic video. It is the coolest concept ever! Their food is delicious and beautifully packaged, but this is a great grass-roots video concept that could easily become a viral video.

Tilt brand… on its way!

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

Coming December 2008 is the new Tilt Brand. After at least 6 months in development (or should I say a lifetime), we have finally culminated with what we feel is the absolute best mark for our company. Based loosely on our company business model and corporate mission, we are preparing for the future with this mark. We hope that you have opinions!

While organic, this mark can be very stable and sturdy. With the ability to morph into “rice-like” shapes and to spin off into their own dimensions, we feel that this shows the very nature of Tilt; a little “to the left.” The “pieces of rice” are like leaves, rain drops, petals and when put together resemble a windmill or a flower. It is the perfect mix of all kinds of characteristics.

NACS goes green

Monday, October 6th, 2008

This past weekend, NACS, the Association for Convenience and Petroleum Retailing had their Chicago tradeshow. 400 vendors showcased their latest products and inventions.

I was invited by my client at Kwik Trip Stores to speak at the conference on Marketing and Merchandising. This was an interesting opportunity since I am not an expert on Convenience stores, but it was an excellent experience to learn about this industry.

Find of the Week #2

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

Asus just announced its new bamboo line of notebooks.  They feature a new power saving system that reduces power demands to match the user’s performance needs. Asus claims this reduces power consumption by 35% to 70% compared with similar computers. Bamboo is a logical building material given its quick growth and easy availability. I think this represents pretty cool technology, though I’m not sure if I’m ready to carry around a wood grain notebook.
