Incredible living walls

August 31st, 2009

living-wall-1

Why not make the earth apart of the decor? Often coined “Breathing Walls,” Living Walls increase circulation, cool the air and provide a wonderful art piece. Typically found in cities, high-end architectural buildings are particularly trending towards Living Walls as well as areas that are looking to retain some sense of nature.

A brilliant Strategic Sales Campaign

August 26th, 2009

As we all know, I am an avid Sigg user. I have converted my whole family, too. Our new hybrid designer, Chris Willet, found this article on Sigg which had me running for the store!  Take a look and be sure to check out your bottle if you use the new or the old Sigg. Personally I just think that this was strategic marketing; get everyone to buy our product, then tell consumers that last years model gives you diseases, but the new one won’t and then the company sells more product.

This past Saturday Jes-M held a photo shoot for new products. We invited some of our friends to come and “model” for us and as you can see they were wonderful! Our latest products are baby onesies and tees for the whole family. They will be available for purchase online at jes-m.com in the coming weeks. Let us know what you think! The photos are absolutely amazing thanks to our talented photographer, Betsy VanLangen, and of course our beautiful models!

Gloria’s Summer Internship

August 10th, 2009

This summer we had the privilege of housing a few interns, one of them being Gloria Azucena. Friday was her last day at Tilt for the summer and she wanted to say a few words before she left:

WHAT I ACCOMPLISHED

This summer internship was a great opportunity to learn a lot of different skills yet still have a lot of fun doing them. I mainly worked under Jes-M along side the three ladies, Rachael, Jess and Sam. My job was to photograph most of the products in the Jes-M line that can now be seen in the print catalog (which in my opinion is totally awesome). I also manufactured many of the cards and packaged products. Having odd jobs here and there while I photographed for a company felt like being part of a team. It was stressful but exciting to have a reason to use my camera as a tool to complete a group effort.

WHERE I’M GOING

Tilt Studios is great and has originality expressed in their company and artwork. I was very lucky to spend a summer working within the walls of a studio along side others who are amazing. Now I am heading back to Rochester for my third year as a Photography student.  Can’t wait until I graduate and find a niche for myself!
