Jes-M’s Debut Birthday Party

June 17th, 2009

blast-2

One our most wonderful clients and supporters, Mike Cooper with Lindenmeyr Munroe and his wife Lynne, allowed Jes-M to come to his daughter Maggie’s 5th birthday party last Friday. Here are some pictures of the girls having fun with our new Jes-M PartyKids product. This product sold individually and in packs of 6 is now available!

Each girl at Maggie’s party was given a partypack with a fabric marker and crayon, a rolled up organic t-shirt and an 11 x 17 activity sheet. The kids were allowed to share their markers/crayons and the parents are allowed to join in the fun and help create! At Maggie’s party the girls started with the shirts first and colored them in while they muched on snacks. Once they were finished, they moved onto the activity sheets and colored the fun patterns. After they felt satisfied with their creations, the parents chimed in and  helped them cut out the party hat and fun tassels for the top. Then there was cake! See more pictures on our Flickr account.

This product line, exclusively sold individually for $20 or in packs of 6 for $100 and are available at Jes-M. Shirts are made of organic cotton and the crayons and markers are Crayola®, paper is printed on 100% hydropower produced, 100% PCW recycled and unbleached paper! You can order by emailing sales@jes-m.com or calling 410-467-4513 x10.

Blast

June 10th, 2009

With our initial product line complete and our website in the works, we thought we’d tell you a little bit more about Jes-M so you can become familiar with our products. There are 5 distinct patterns that we’ve come up with: Blast, Spin, Space, Land and Reveal. Each one has a story behind it, so we thought we’d start by introducing Blast.

Blast is the fun line of Jes-M that is about celebrating life, exploring opportunities and being 100% you. Cards, Tees and Wrap paper are all available in Blast patterns, plus we have a Blast Kids Pack, perfect for parties and celebrations.

blast-cards

Our Blast cards are re-writeable, which gives the product a longer life span than any other card on the market. Simply write a message and send it to a friend. Your friend can read the message and when ready they can wipe it off to write a new message to send. These are perfect for kids, pen pals or for those adults who never know what to write and end up regretting what they wrote.

Kid’s will certainly live up to the Blast persona with these unique children’s tees. Printed on 100% organic cotton, these funky shapes are the base for coloring and having fun. Each tee comes with a fabric crayon or marker to use for coloring in, out and all over!

Our Wrap for Kid’s is perfect for wrapping any gift and it’s also a great activity. Printed on 100% recycled brown newsprint, the black outlined patterns are meant to be colored in by the gift giver so kids can enjoy the gift giving experience.

Any party will be a “blast” with our party pack. It contains a little bit of everything: 6 Kid’s tees (perfect for a coloring activity and take home goodie), 6 party Wraps (to be used as coloring place mat including activities on the back) and 6 cards (thank you cards for the party giver to send out).

Jes-M at the Charles Village Festival

June 9th, 2009

booth2 cards-in-booth2

This past weekend was the Charles Village Festival, our neighborhood festival of vendors, music, food, fun and so much more. We were lucky enough to have our Jes-M products ready for sales at our booth, and very excited to finally debut the product line. Cards, wrap paper, and tees were our main sellers, plus we had our “Create Change” shirts with sales benefiting the Tilt Foundation. We certainly had plenty of interest and we hope that it continues as we break into the market.

If you missed us at the festival, you’re in luck. This week we are preparing for the launch of our website, which will include online purchasing! We’re very busy arranging photo shoots, assembling packages for retailers and making sure our content is perfect so that everyone will know what Jes-M is and what we’re all about. We’ll keep you updated, but be sure to check in frequently!

Jes-M is finally here. After 3 years of development, we are taking it on the road and starting to debut and test our products. First up, the Charles Village Festival on Charles Street. This two day festival has goods from all over the world.

Jes-M is a contemporary ecofriendly lifestyle product line with everything from q-tips to furniture. Our soft goods line is a collection of t-shirts, wrapping paper, wall paper, hanks and cards. Each item has been made with a consumer in mind. Ever in flux, we are continuing to make improvements every day. Please let us know your thoughts!

Two of the cards below are rewritable and plantable cards. All with the use of 100% PCW recycled paper. The cards on the right are the plantabnle cards and there are 5 differnt kinds of seeds, 1 for each style and design of card. The blast cards are perfect for the kid in you… you get to make what you want of the cards by writing a message and then the recipient can pass the card along. Eventually we will have a site to track the messages!

Keep Growing?

June 5th, 2009

A few weeks ago Tilt decided to take over our neighbor’s lawn of weeds and transform it into an urban garden (with the property owners’ permission of course). After laboring many hours under the summer sun, pulling up roots, turning over dirt and nurturing the soil, we planted an assortment of fruits and veggies that are growing fast. The plants were purchased from local farmers at the market that takes place on Sunday mornings under the route 83 overpass.

Personal and urban farms have become increasingly popular during recent years. The “going green” phenomenon has caused Americans to begin questioning where their food comes from, whether or not it is organic, and how many miles it travels before it reaches the supermarket. In this era of global mass production and factory farming, food has become super efficient to produce in massive quantities, and plants have been engineered to yield the biggest and brightest fruits and vegetables. Not only this, but much of our food in America is imported from countries throughout the world. Have you ever wondered how you could possibly eat a pineapple in December?
